Japan Expo 2010

Last Thursday was the opening day for Japan Expo, which is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) European anime/manga convention, though Japan Expo is much more that that. Among other things, it has a vast artist alley, which I was strolling through on Thursday.

Well, I have to admit “strolling” isn’t an appropriate word. There were so many booths that I couldn’t visit them all in a single afternoon. I had to rush to see as many table as I could in such a short time.

I made a complete review on my Deviantart page, and featured most people I got to meet there. Here’s a brief summary :

“…it was a real blast. It was huge, much more than in 2007 when I last went there, and the artist alley was bigger than I could even imagine 15 years ago, when I got a convention table for the very first time.

I surveyed the whole AA methodically because I didn’t want to miss anyone, but of course, only having the afternoon to see everything, I had to hurry, and did end up missing a few people. Oh well, there’s always next year.

I still got to meet very nice artists (and also buy their stuff <3), most of them on DA, and I felt welcome every time I stopped at a table to talk." Also, here's a picture summarizing my whereabouts that day. Japan Expo map
